The business behind it

Countertop Costs is being built by OKC SEO, a search and marketing company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, owned by Chris S Riddle. OKC SEO has worked in local search since 2014 and builds websites, cost calculators and AI tools for local service businesses. Countertop Costs grew out of that work: seeing how often homeowners start shopping for a countertop with no idea what a fair price looks like.

How the cost data will be sourced and dated

No cost calculator or cost page is live yet. When one publishes, its price ranges will come from published pricing data such as fabricator and material industry pricing, materials suppliers, and government or trade data where it exists. Every page with a number will list its sources and the date they were last checked at the bottom of that page. Where sources disagree, the page will show the range rather than pick the number that looks best.

How AI is used here

AI tools are used to research pricing data, draft page text and help build the calculators. Before anything publishes, a person checks the sources, checks the math, and checks the page against our content rules: no invented numbers, no invented stories, no claims we cannot back up. Mistakes get corrected when they are found. If you spot one after launch, email questions@countertopcosts.com.

How the site will make money

The plan is to let some pages offer to send your measurements to a local fabricator, and the site may be paid when that happens. That is not active today. See thedisclosure page for the full explanation.
