Who runs this site

The business behind it

Countertop Costs is run by OKC SEO, a search and marketing company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, owned by Chris S Riddle. Chris has worked in local search since 2014, when he started the agency, and now also builds AI receptionists and chatbots for local businesses. The countertop calculator is this site's first tool.

Where the cost data comes from

The countertop cost calculator is live. Its installed price ranges come from national cost guides: HomeGuide, Fixr, HomeAdvisor, Bob Vila, Homewyse, Angi and Forbes. Slab sizes come from manufacturer and fabricator specifications. Some add-on prices that the national guides do not cover well come from named fabricators, a retailer or a smaller guide instead: waterfall panels (Alpine Stones, Granite Guy), farmhouse sink cutouts, overhang supports and the low ends of drop-in and undermount sink cutouts (Alpine Stones), plumbing reconnect (Alpine Stones, Cost to Renovate), the high end of a 4 in backsplash (Dynamic Stone Tools) and the high end per extra faucet hole (Marble.com). The calculator page names each one. Every figure was checked on September 29, 2026, and the calculator page lists each source, grouped by material and add-on. Where sources disagree, the calculator shows the range instead of picking the number that looks best.

How AI is used here

Pages are drafted and checked with AI tools, which also research the pricing data and help build the calculators. A separate review pass re-fetches every source and re-runs the math before anything goes live, and Chris signs off on new launches. The rules for that review: no invented numbers, no invented stories, no claims we cannot back up. Found a mistake? Emailquestions@countertopcosts.com and we will correct it and date the fix.

How the site makes money

The calculator has no ads, no lead form and no paid placement. If you enter an Oklahoma City area ZIP code after seeing your results, the page shows the number for a countertop referral line run by our sister site, Local Times OKC. Local Times OKC answers those calls and passes the caller's details to a local countertop company, and we may be paid when it does. It never changes the cost ranges. See thedisclosure page for the full explanation and theprivacy page for what happens to a call.
