These terms cover Countertop Costs, including the livecountertop cost calculator and the same calculator when you use it through ChatGPT or another AI assistant (the tool athttps://countertopcosts.com/mcp).

Estimates only, not quotes

The calculator gives planning estimates. Its price ranges come from published sources (national cost guides, manufacturer and fabricator slab specifications, and named fabricators for some add-ons), listed and dated on the calculator page. An estimate is not a quote, bid, inspection or professional advice. Your actual price depends on your home, your location, the slab you pick and what a fabricator finds when the job is measured on site. Always get a written quote from a local fabricator or installer before hiring.

We work to keep the data accurate and dated, but we cannot guarantee that any estimate matches the price you are charged. You use the estimates for your own planning and at your own discretion.

Using Countertop Costs through ChatGPT or another AI assistant

Everything above applies there too: the tool returns the same planning estimates as the website, with the same sources and the same limits. The assistant decides when to call the tool and how to word the answer, and it may summarize, round or leave out parts of what the tool returned. If an answer looks off, check it on thecalculator page, which shows every line item and source. Your use of ChatGPT itself is governed by OpenAI's terms.

The tool is read-only. It does not sell anything, place orders, book installers or contact anyone on your behalf. Please do not overload it with automated requests; it is rate limited, and we may change or pause it at any time.

The Oklahoma City referral line

For Oklahoma City area ZIP codes, the calculator page shows the number for a countertop referral line, (405) 400-1250, run by our sister site Local Times OKC. The ChatGPT tool does not show it. Local Times OKC passes callers' details to a local countertop company. Any business you reach through that line is independent of us and responsible for its own work, pricing, licensing and quotes.
